Instructional Technology
|
Our Vision In keeping with the objectives of the Sisters of Notre Dame's mission, we seek to fully integrate technology in purposeful ways into the lives of the Notre Dame community. NDA students, faculty, and staff employ information technology in sophisticated, innovative, responsible, and meaningful ways to solve problems across disciplines and subject areas and interpret vast amounts of information with analytical skill. To this end, technology should be fully integrated within the curriculum to promote critical thinking and lifelong learning. At Notre Dame we believe that the use of technology can enrich the teaching and learning experience for all members of our community. We are dedicated to providing instruction and support that prepares our students to be innovative, confident, and responsible users of technology and accompanying communication tools. Our objective is that technology be used in the meaningful pursuit of knowledge. We believe that competence comes through instruction and ample real-world experience in locating, integrating, evaluating, and creating meaning from the vast amounts of information available to our students. We are committed to providing our graduates with the skills and experiences to fully participate in a knowledge-based, global society. |
